GeForce RTX 3060 Laptop vs Quadro RTX 4000 benchmarks
In our benchmarks, the Quadro RTX 4000 beats the GeForce RTX 3060 Laptop in gaming performance.
The Quadro RTX 4000 has a slightly higher core clock speed. This is the frequency at which the graphics core is running at. While not necessarily an indicator of overall performance, this metric can be useful when comparing two GPUs based on the same architecture. Despite this, the GeForce RTX 3060 Laptop has a slightly higher boost clock speed. The boost clock speed is the frequency that the GPU core can reach if the temperature is low enough. The allows for higher performance in certain scenarios.
Furthermore, the spec sheet for both these GPUs show that the Quadro RTX 4000 has slightly more memory with 8 GiB of memory compared to 5.97 GiB. Memory size doesn't directly affect performance, but too little memory will certainly degrade gaming performance.
In addition, the GeForce RTX 3060 Laptop has a significantly lower TDP at 80 W when compared to the Quadro RTX 4000 at 160 W. TDP (Thermal Design Power) measures total heat output from the chip.
According to the results of the hardwareDB benchmark utility, the Quadro RTX 4000 is faster than the GeForce RTX 3060 Laptop.
