GeForce RTX 3060 Laptop vs Quadro P4000 comparison
For gaming, the GeForce RTX 3060 Laptop graphics card is better than the Quadro P4000 in our tests.
The Quadro P4000 has a slightly higher core clock speed. The core clock speed (or base speed) is the frequency at which the GPU core runs. This metric makes sense when comparing GPUs of a similar architecture or generation. Despite this, the GeForce RTX 3060 Laptop has a slightly higher boost clock speed: the maximum frequency the chip can reach if power delivery and thermals allow.
Next up, in terms of GPU memory, the Quadro P4000 has slightly more memory with 8 GiB of memory compared to 5.97 GiB. If you're planning at playing games at high resolutions with high-quality textures, you will need a lot of memory.
In addition, the GeForce RTX 3060 Laptop has a slightly lower TDP at 80 W when compared to the Quadro P4000 at 105 W. This is not a measure of performance, but rather the amount of heat generated by the chip when running at its highest speed.
In terms of raw gaming performance in our GPU benchmark, the GeForce RTX 3060 Laptop is better than the Quadro P4000.
