GeForce GTX 980M vs Radeon RX 560 XT comparison

In our benchmarks, the GeForce GTX 980M beats the Radeon RX 560 XT in gaming performance.

In our comparison, the Radeon RX 560 XT has a slightly higher core clock speed. The core clock speed (or base speed) is the frequency at which the GPU core runs. This metric makes sense when comparing GPUs of a similar architecture or generation. In addition, the Radeon RX 560 XT also has a slightly higher boost clock speed. This is a frequency that can be reached if the GPU is cooled sufficiently and has enough power.

In addition, the GeForce GTX 980M has a significantly lower TDP at 100 W when compared to the Radeon RX 560 XT at 150 W. Heat output doesn't match power consumption directly but, it's a good estimate.

According to the results of the hardwareDB benchmark utility, the GeForce GTX 980M is faster than the Radeon RX 560 XT.
