GeForce GTX 980M vs Quadro RTX 4000 benchmarks
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark, the GeForce GTX 980M GPU is faster than the Quadro RTX 4000 in gaming.
Our database shows that the GeForce GTX 980M has a slightly higher core clock speed. This is the frequency at which the graphics core is running at. While not necessarily an indicator of overall performance, this metric can be useful when comparing two GPUs based on the same architecture. Despite this, the Quadro RTX 4000 has a slightly higher boost clock speed. The boost clock speed is the frequency that the GPU core can reach if the temperature is low enough. The allows for higher performance in certain scenarios.
As stated by the manufacturer, the Quadro RTX 4000 has significantly more memory with 8 GiB of memory compared to 4 GiB. Memory size doesn't directly affect performance, but too little memory will certainly degrade gaming performance.
In addition, the GeForce GTX 980M has a significantly lower TDP at 100 W when compared to the Quadro RTX 4000 at 160 W. This is not a measure of performance, but rather the amount of heat generated by the chip when running at its highest speed.
According to the results of the hardwareDB benchmark utility, the GeForce GTX 980M is faster than the Quadro RTX 4000.
