GeForce GTX 970M vs GeForce 930M benchmarks

For gaming, the GeForce GTX 970M graphics card is better than the GeForce 930M in our tests.

In our comparison, the GeForce 930M has a slightly higher core clock speed. This is the frequency at which the graphics core is running at. While not necessarily an indicator of overall performance, this metric can be useful when comparing two GPUs based on the same architecture. Despite this, the GeForce GTX 970M has a slightly higher boost clock speed. The boost clock speed is the frequency that the GPU core can reach if the temperature is low enough. The allows for higher performance in certain scenarios.

In addition, the GeForce 930M has a significantly lower TDP at 33 W when compared to the GeForce GTX 970M at 75 W. This is not a measure of performance, but rather the amount of heat generated by the chip when running at its highest speed.

According to the results of the hardwareDB benchmark utility, the GeForce GTX 970M is faster than the GeForce 930M.
