GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER vs Radeon RX 480 specs and performance

According to the hardwareDB Benchmark, the GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER GPU is faster than the Radeon RX 480 in gaming.

In our comparison, the GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER has a slightly higher core clock speed. This is the frequency at which the graphics core is running at. While not necessarily an indicator of overall performance, this metric can be useful when comparing two GPUs based on the same architecture. In addition, the GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER also has a slightly higher boost clock speed: the maximum frequency the chip can reach if power delivery and thermals allow.

Furthermore, the spec sheet for both these GPUs show that the Radeon RX 480 has slightly more memory with 8 GiB of memory compared to 6 GiB. If you're planning at playing games at high resolutions with high-quality textures, you will need a lot of memory.

In addition, the GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER has a slightly lower TDP at 125 W when compared to the Radeon RX 480 at 150 W. Heat output doesn't match power consumption directly but, it's a good estimate.

In terms of raw gaming performance in our GPU benchmark, the GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER is better than the Radeon RX 480.
