GeForce GTX 1080 Ti vs Radeon VII specs and performance
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark, the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti GPU is faster than the Radeon VII in gaming.
Our database shows that the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti has a slightly higher core clock speed. This is the frequency at which the graphics core is running at. While not necessarily an indicator of overall performance, this metric can be useful when comparing two GPUs based on the same architecture. Despite this, the Radeon VII has a slightly higher boost clock speed: the maximum frequency the chip can reach if power delivery and thermals allow.
Next up, in terms of GPU memory, the Radeon VII has significantly more memory with 16 GiB of memory compared to 11 GiB. Lots of memory is good when playing at high resolutions or with many monitors.
In addition, the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti has a slightly lower TDP at 250 W when compared to the Radeon VII at 300 W. TDP (Thermal Design Power) measures total heat output from the chip.
In conclusion, all specs and GPU benchmarks considered, will recommend the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti over the Radeon VII.
