GeForce GTX 1070 vs RTX A4000 comparison
For gaming, the RTX A4000 graphics card is better than the GeForce GTX 1070 in our tests.
Our database shows that the GeForce GTX 1070 has a significantly higher core clock speed. This is the frequency at which the graphics core is running at. While not necessarily an indicator of overall performance, this metric can be useful when comparing two GPUs based on the same architecture. In addition, the GeForce GTX 1070 also has a slightly higher boost clock speed. This is a frequency that can be reached if the GPU is cooled sufficiently and has enough power.
Furthermore, the spec sheet for both these GPUs show that the RTX A4000 has significantly more memory with 16 GiB of memory compared to 8 GiB. If you're planning at playing games at high resolutions with high-quality textures, you will need a lot of memory.
In addition, the RTX A4000 has a slightly lower TDP at 140 W when compared to the GeForce GTX 1070 at 150 W. This is not a measure of performance, but rather the amount of heat generated by the chip when running at its highest speed.
According to the results of the hardwareDB benchmark utility, the RTX A4000 is faster than the GeForce GTX 1070.
