GeForce GTX 1060 6GB vs GeForce RTX 4070 Ti specs and performance
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark, the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti GPU is faster than the GeForce GTX 1060 6GB in gaming.
Our database shows that the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti has a significantly higher core clock speed. The core clock speed (or base speed) is the frequency at which the GPU core runs. This metric makes sense when comparing GPUs of a similar architecture or generation. In addition, the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti also has a significantly higher boost clock speed. The boost clock speed is the frequency that the GPU core can reach if the temperature is low enough. The allows for higher performance in certain scenarios.
Furthermore, the spec sheet for both these GPUs show that the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti has significantly more memory with 12 GiB of memory compared to 6 GiB. Lots of memory is good when playing at high resolutions or with many monitors.
In addition, the GeForce GTX 1060 6GB has a significantly lower TDP at 120 W when compared to the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti at 285 W. Heat output doesn't match power consumption directly but, it's a good estimate.
According to the results of the hardwareDB benchmark utility, the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti is faster than the GeForce GTX 1060 6GB.
