Core Ultra 7 256V vs Ryzen 5 7600X3D benchmarks
In our benchmarks, the Ryzen 5 7600X3D beats the Core Ultra 7 256V in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core Ultra 7 256V in all gaming tests too.
When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Core Ultra 7 256V has slightly more cores with 8 cores compared to the Ryzen 5 7600X3D that has 6 cores. It also has more threads than the Ryzen 5 7600X3D. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 5 7600X3D has a significantly higher clock speed than the Core Ultra 7 256V. Despite this, the Core Ultra 7 256V has a slightly higher turbo speed. In terms of cache, the Core Ultra 7 256V has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Ryzen 5 7600X3D. Despite this, the Ryzen 5 7600X3D has significantly more L3 cache compared to the Core Ultra 7 256V.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the Core Ultra 7 256V has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
