Core i9-10900KF vs Ryzen 7 7700X benchmarks
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Ryzen 7 7700X is faster than the Core i9-10900KF. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i9-10900KF in all gaming tests too.
With info from our database, we find that the Core i9-10900KF has slightly more cores with 10 cores whereas the Ryzen 7 7700X has 8 cores. It also has more threads than the Ryzen 7 7700X. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the Ryzen 7 7700X has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Core i9-10900KF. Also, the Ryzen 7 7700X has a slightly higher turbo speed. The Ryzen 7 7700X outputs less heat than Core i9-10900KF thanks to a slightly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, the Ryzen 7 7700X has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Core i9-10900KF. The Ryzen 7 7700X also has significantly more L3 cache.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Core i9-10900KF has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
