Core i9-10900KF vs Core i5-13400F specs and performance
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i9-10900KF is faster than the Core i5-13400F. Despite this, the Core i5-13400F has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
Our spec comparison shows that they have an identical amount of cores but the Core i9-10900KF has more threads. Our comparison shows that the Core i9-10900KF has a significantly higher clock speed compared to the Core i5-13400F. Also, the Core i9-10900KF has a slightly higher turbo speed. In terms of cache, the Core i9-10900KF has slightly more L2 cache when compared to the Core i5-13400F. However, both these chips have the same amount of L3 cache.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Core i9-10900KF has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
