Core i9-10900F vs Xeon E5-2680 v4 specs and performance
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Core i9-10900F performs better than the Xeon E5-2680 v4. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Xeon E5-2680 v4 in all gaming tests too.
With info from our database, we find that the Xeon E5-2680 v4 has slightly more cores with 14 cores whereas the Core i9-10900F has 10 cores. It also has more threads than the Core i9-10900F. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the Core i9-10900F has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Xeon E5-2680 v4. Also, the Core i9-10900F has a significantly higher turbo speed. A Core i9-10900F CPU outputs less heat than a Xeon E5-2680 v4 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. Indeed, the Core i9-10900F has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
