Core i7-9700T vs Xeon E5-2650 v4 comparison

According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Xeon E5-2650 v4 is faster than the Core i7-9700T. Despite this, the Core i7-9700T has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.

With info from our database, we find that the Xeon E5-2650 v4 has significantly more cores with 12 cores whereas the Core i7-9700T has 8 cores. It also has more threads than the Core i7-9700T. With our hardware info, we find that the Xeon E5-2650 v4 has a slightly higher clock speed than the Core i7-9700T. Despite this, the Core i7-9700T has a significantly higher turbo speed. A Core i7-9700T CPU outputs less heat than a Xeon E5-2650 v4 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.

Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. For instance, the Core i7-9700T has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
