Core i7-9700T vs Xeon E5-1660 benchmarks

According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Xeon E5-1660 is faster than the Core i7-9700T. Despite this, the Core i7-9700T has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.

In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the Core i7-9700T has slightly more cores than the Xeon E5-1660. Indeed, the Core i7-9700T has 8 cores compared to 6 cores found in the Xeon E5-1660. Despite this, the Xeon E5-1660 has more threads than the Core i7-9700T. With our hardware info, we find that the Xeon E5-1660 has a significantly higher clock speed than the Core i7-9700T. Despite this, the Core i7-9700T has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Core i7-9700T CPU outputs less heat than a Xeon E5-1660 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.

The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. For instance, the Core i7-9700T has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
