Core i7-9700T vs Xeon E3-1270 v6 benchmarks
In our benchmarks, the Core i7-9700T beats the Xeon E3-1270 v6 in overall performance. Despite this, the Xeon E3-1270 v6 has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Core i7-9700T has significantly more cores with 8 cores compared to the Xeon E3-1270 v6 that has 4 cores. But they both have the same number of threads. Our comparison shows that the Xeon E3-1270 v6 has a significantly higher clock speed compared to the Core i7-9700T. Despite this, the Core i7-9700T has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Core i7-9700T CPU outputs less heat than a Xeon E3-1270 v6 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. For instance, the Core i7-9700T has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
