Core i7-9700T vs Xeon E-2186M benchmarks
In our benchmarks, the Xeon E-2186M beats the Core i7-9700T in overall performance. Despite this, the Core i7-9700T has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
With info from our database, we find that the Core i7-9700T has slightly more cores with 8 cores whereas the Xeon E-2186M has 6 cores. Despite this, the Xeon E-2186M has more threads than the Core i7-9700T. With our hardware info, we find that the Xeon E-2186M has a significantly higher clock speed than the Core i7-9700T. Also, the Xeon E-2186M has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Core i7-9700T CPU outputs less heat than a Xeon E-2186M CPU because of its slightly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. For instance, the Core i7-9700T has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
