Core i7-9700T vs Core i5-1335U comparison
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i5-1335U is faster than the Core i7-9700T. Despite this, the Core i7-9700T has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
With info from our database, we find that the Core i5-1335U has slightly more cores with 10 cores whereas the Core i7-9700T has 8 cores. It also has more threads than the Core i7-9700T. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the Core i7-9700T has a significantly higher clock speed compared to the Core i5-1335U. Despite this, the Core i5-1335U has a slightly higher turbo speed.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the Core i7-9700T has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
