Core i7-9700T vs Core i3-12100 benchmarks

According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i3-12100 is faster than the Core i7-9700T. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i7-9700T in all gaming tests too.

With info from our database, we find that the Core i7-9700T has significantly more cores with 8 cores whereas the Core i3-12100 has 4 cores. But they both have the same number of threads. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the Core i3-12100 has a significantly higher clock speed compared to the Core i7-9700T. In addition, both chips have the same turbo speed. A Core i7-9700T CPU outputs less heat than a Core i3-12100 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.

Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. For instance, the Core i7-9700T has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
