Core i7-9700 vs Core i7-6950X specs and performance

In our benchmarks, the Core i7-9700 beats the Core i7-6950X in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i7-6950X in all gaming tests too.

With info from our database, we find that the Core i7-6950X has slightly more cores with 10 cores whereas the Core i7-9700 has 8 cores. It also has more threads than the Core i7-9700. In terms of clock speed, the Core i7-9700 and Core i7-6950X are identical in this regard. Despite this, the Core i7-9700 has a slightly higher turbo speed.
