Core i7-6700T vs Ryzen 3 PRO 3200G specs and performance
In our benchmarks, the Core i7-6700T beats the Ryzen 3 PRO 3200G in overall performance. Despite this, the Ryzen 3 PRO 3200G has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
When comparing these CPUs we notice that they have the same number of cores but the Core i7-6700T has more threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 3 PRO 3200G has a slightly higher clock speed than the Core i7-6700T. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Ryzen 3 PRO 3200G has significantly more L2 cache than the Core i7-6700T. Despite this, the Core i7-6700T has significantly more L3 cache compared to the Ryzen 3 PRO 3200G.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Core i7-6700T has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
