Core i7-6560U vs Pentium G2120 specs and performance
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i7-6560U is faster than the Pentium G2120. Despite this, the Pentium G2120 has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
Info from our database shows that they both have the same core count but the Core i7-6560U has more threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Pentium G2120 has a slightly higher clock speed than the Core i7-6560U. A Core i7-6560U CPU outputs less heat than a Pentium G2120 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Core i7-6560U has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
