Core i7-4720HQ vs N150 specs and performance

According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the N150 is faster than the Core i7-4720HQ. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i7-4720HQ in all gaming tests too.

Our spec comparison shows that they have an identical amount of cores but the Core i7-4720HQ has more threads. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the Core i7-4720HQ has a significantly higher clock speed compared to the N150. The info from our database shows that the N150 has more L2 cache than the Core i7-4720HQ. However, both these chips have the same amount of L3 cache.

Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Core i7-4720HQ has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
