Core i7-13700H vs Ryzen 5 7500F specs and performance
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Ryzen 5 7500F is faster than the Core i7-13700H. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i7-13700H in all gaming tests too.
When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Core i7-13700H has significantly more cores with 14 cores compared to the Ryzen 5 7500F that has 6 cores. It also has more threads than the Ryzen 5 7500F. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the Ryzen 5 7500F has a significantly higher clock speed compared to the Core i7-13700H. Furthermore, both these CPUs have identical turbo speeds. In terms of cache, the Core i7-13700H has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Ryzen 5 7500F. Despite this, the Ryzen 5 7500F has slightly more L3 cache compared to the Core i7-13700H.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Core i7-13700H has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
