Core i7-13650HX vs Core i5-13600HX specs and performance
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i7-13650HX is faster than the Core i5-13600HX. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i5-13600HX in all gaming tests too.
When comparing these CPUs we notice that they have the same number of cores and the same number of threads. Both the Core i7-13650HX and Core i5-13600HX have the same clock speed. Despite this, the Core i7-13650HX has a slightly higher turbo speed. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Core i5-13600HX has significantly more L2 cache than the Core i7-13650HX. However, both these chips have the same amount of L3 cache.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Core i7-13650HX has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
