Core i7-10810U vs Xeon X5650 comparison
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Core i7-10810U performs better than the Xeon X5650. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Xeon X5650 in all gaming tests too.
Our spec comparison shows that they have an identical amount of cores and the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Xeon X5650 has a significantly higher clock speed than the Core i7-10810U. Despite this, the Core i7-10810U has a significantly higher turbo speed. A Core i7-10810U CPU outputs less heat than a Xeon X5650 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The data shows that both these CPUs have same sized L2 caches and L3 cache.
The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. Indeed, the Core i7-10810U has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
