Core i7-10700T vs Ryzen 5 6600H benchmarks
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Core i7-10700T performs better than the Ryzen 5 6600H. Despite this, the Ryzen 5 6600H has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the Core i7-10700T has slightly more cores than the Ryzen 5 6600H. Indeed, the Core i7-10700T has 8 cores compared to 6 cores found in the Ryzen 5 6600H. It also has more threads than the Ryzen 5 6600H. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 5 6600H has a significantly higher clock speed than the Core i7-10700T. Furthermore, both these CPUs have identical turbo speeds. A Core i7-10700T CPU outputs less heat than a Ryzen 5 6600H CPU because of its slightly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Core i7-10700T has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
