Core i7-10700T vs Core i5-12450H benchmarks
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i5-12450H is faster than the Core i7-10700T. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i7-10700T in all gaming tests too.
Our spec comparison shows that they have an identical amount of cores but the Core i7-10700T has more threads. In terms of clock speed, the Core i7-10700T and Core i5-12450H are identical in this regard. Despite this, the Core i7-10700T has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Core i7-10700T CPU outputs less heat than a Core i5-12450H CPU because of its slightly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Core i7-10700T has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
