Core i7-10700 vs Ryzen 7 7700X specs and performance
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Ryzen 7 7700X is faster than the Core i7-10700. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i7-10700 in all gaming tests too.
Info from our database shows that they both have the same core count and the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 7 7700X has a significantly higher clock speed than the Core i7-10700. Also, the Ryzen 7 7700X has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Core i7-10700 CPU outputs less heat than a Ryzen 7 7700X CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, the Ryzen 7 7700X has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Core i7-10700. The Ryzen 7 7700X also has significantly more L3 cache.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. Indeed, the Core i7-10700 has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
