Core i5-9500T vs Xeon W-2123 benchmarks

According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i5-9500T is faster than the Xeon W-2123. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Xeon W-2123 in all gaming tests too.

When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Core i5-9500T has significantly more cores with 6 cores compared to the Xeon W-2123 that has 4 cores. Despite this, the Xeon W-2123 has more threads than the Core i5-9500T. With our hardware info, we find that the Xeon W-2123 has a significantly higher clock speed than the Core i5-9500T. Also, the Xeon W-2123 has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Core i5-9500T CPU outputs less heat than a Xeon W-2123 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.

The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. For instance, the Core i5-9500T has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
