Core i5-7400T vs A10-7890K specs and performance

Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Core i5-7400T performs better than the A10-7890K. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the A10-7890K in all gaming tests too.

With info from our database, we find that the Core i5-7400T has significantly more cores with 4 cores whereas the A10-7890K has 2 cores. But they both have the same number of threads. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the A10-7890K has a significantly higher clock speed compared to the Core i5-7400T. Also, the A10-7890K has a significantly higher turbo speed. A Core i5-7400T CPU outputs less heat than a A10-7890K CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the A10-7890K has significantly more L2 cache than the Core i5-7400T

The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. For instance, the Core i5-7400T has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
