Core i5-13400F vs Ryzen 7 5800XT comparison
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i5-13400F is faster than the Ryzen 7 5800XT. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 7 5800XT in all gaming tests too.
With info from our database, we find that the Core i5-13400F has slightly more cores with 10 cores whereas the Ryzen 7 5800XT has 8 cores. But they both have the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 7 5800XT has a significantly higher clock speed than the Core i5-13400F. Also, the Ryzen 7 5800XT has a slightly higher turbo speed. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Ryzen 7 5800XT has significantly more L2 cache than the Core i5-13400F. The Ryzen 7 5800XT also has significantly more L3 cache.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Core i5-13400F has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
