Core i5-13400F vs Core i5-1340P specs and performance
In our benchmarks, the Core i5-13400F beats the Core i5-1340P in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i5-1340P in all gaming tests too.
With info from our database, we find that the Core i5-1340P has slightly more cores with 12 cores whereas the Core i5-13400F has 10 cores. But they both have the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i5-13400F has a slightly higher clock speed than the Core i5-1340P. In addition, both chips have the same turbo speed. The info from our database shows that the Core i5-1340P has more L2 cache than the Core i5-13400F. Despite this, the Core i5-13400F has significantly more L3 cache compared to the Core i5-1340P.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. Indeed, the Core i5-13400F has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
