Core i3-9100 vs Ryzen 5 PRO 3350G specs and performance

In our benchmarks, the Ryzen 5 PRO 3350G beats the Core i3-9100 in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i3-9100 in all gaming tests too.

Our spec comparison shows that they have an identical amount of cores but the Ryzen 5 PRO 3350G has more threads. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the Ryzen 5 PRO 3350G has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Core i3-9100. In terms of cache, the Ryzen 5 PRO 3350G has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Core i3-9100. Despite this, the Core i3-9100 has significantly more L3 cache compared to the Ryzen 5 PRO 3350G.

Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the Core i3-9100 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
