Core i3-8130U vs A10-7890K specs and performance

According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i3-8130U is faster than the A10-7890K. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the A10-7890K in all gaming tests too.

When comparing these CPUs we notice that they have the same number of cores and the same number of threads. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the A10-7890K has a significantly higher clock speed compared to the Core i3-8130U. Also, the A10-7890K has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Core i3-8130U CPU outputs less heat than a A10-7890K CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, the A10-7890K has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Core i3-8130U

Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Core i3-8130U has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
