Core i3-7100 vs N150 benchmarks

In our benchmarks, the Core i3-7100 beats the N150 in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the N150 in all gaming tests too.

When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the N150 has significantly more cores with 4 cores compared to the Core i3-7100 that has 2 cores. But they both have the same number of threads. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the Core i3-7100 has a significantly higher clock speed compared to the N150. The info from our database shows that the N150 has more L2 cache than the Core i3-7100. The N150 also has significantly more L3 cache.

The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. Indeed, the Core i3-7100 has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
