Core i3-6100 vs Pentium G4560 comparison
In our benchmarks, the Pentium G4560 beats the Core i3-6100 in overall performance. Despite this, the Core i3-6100 has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
Our spec comparison shows that they have an identical amount of cores and the same number of threads. Our comparison shows that the Core i3-6100 has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Pentium G4560. A Core i3-6100 CPU outputs less heat than a Pentium G4560 CPU because of its slightly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, both these CPUs have the same amount of L2 cache. The Core i3-6100 also has slightly more L3 cache.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. Indeed, the Core i3-6100 has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
