Core i3-6100 vs Pentium 6805 comparison
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Pentium 6805 is faster than the Core i3-6100. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i3-6100 in all gaming tests too.
When comparing these CPUs we notice that they have the same number of cores and the same number of threads. Our comparison shows that the Core i3-6100 has a significantly higher clock speed compared to the Pentium 6805. The Pentium 6805 outputs less heat than Core i3-6100 thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Pentium 6805 has significantly more L2 cache than the Core i3-6100. However, both these chips have the same amount of L3 cache.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. Indeed, the Core i3-6100 has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
