Core i3-5005U vs A8-7410 specs and performance

Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Core i3-5005U performs better than the A8-7410. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the A8-7410 in all gaming tests too.

With info from our database, we find that the A8-7410 has significantly more cores with 4 cores whereas the Core i3-5005U has 2 cores. But they both have the same number of threads. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the A8-7410 has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Core i3-5005U. A Core i3-5005U CPU outputs less heat than a A8-7410 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, the A8-7410 has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Core i3-5005U

Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. Indeed, the Core i3-5005U has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
