A8-7410 vs Pentium E5400 comparison
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the A8-7410 is faster than the Pentium E5400. Despite this, the Pentium E5400 has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the A8-7410 has significantly more cores with 4 cores compared to the Pentium E5400 that has 2 cores. It also has more threads than the Pentium E5400. Our comparison shows that the Pentium E5400 has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the A8-7410. A A8-7410 CPU outputs less heat than a Pentium E5400 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, both these CPUs have the same amount of L2 cache
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the A8-7410 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
