A8-7410 vs Celeron G550 comparison
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Celeron G550 is faster than the A8-7410. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the A8-7410 in all gaming tests too.
In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the A8-7410 has significantly more cores than the Celeron G550. Indeed, the A8-7410 has 4 cores compared to 2 cores found in the Celeron G550. It also has more threads than the Celeron G550. Our comparison shows that the Celeron G550 has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the A8-7410. A A8-7410 CPU outputs less heat than a Celeron G550 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, the A8-7410 has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Celeron G550
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the A8-7410 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
