A8-4500M vs A8-7410 benchmarks
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the A8-4500M performs better than the A8-7410. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the A8-7410 in all gaming tests too.
In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the A8-7410 has significantly more cores than the A8-4500M. Indeed, the A8-7410 has 4 cores compared to 2 cores found in the A8-4500M. But they both have the same number of threads. The A8-7410 outputs less heat than A8-4500M thanks to a slightly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the A8-4500M has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
