A6-9500 vs Celeron N4120 benchmarks
In our benchmarks, the Celeron N4120 beats the A6-9500 in overall performance. Despite this, the A6-9500 has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Celeron N4120 has significantly more cores with 4 cores compared to the A6-9500 that has 2 cores. It also has more threads than the A6-9500. With our hardware info, we find that the A6-9500 has a significantly higher clock speed than the Celeron N4120. The Celeron N4120 outputs less heat than A6-9500 thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the A6-9500 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
