A6-7310 vs Core 2 Duo E8600 specs and performance
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Core 2 Duo E8600 performs better than the A6-7310. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the A6-7310 in all gaming tests too.
With info from our database, we find that the A6-7310 has significantly more cores with 4 cores whereas the Core 2 Duo E8600 has 2 cores. It also has more threads than the Core 2 Duo E8600. With our hardware info, we find that the Core 2 Duo E8600 has a significantly higher clock speed than the A6-7310. A A6-7310 CPU outputs less heat than a Core 2 Duo E8600 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, the Core 2 Duo E8600 has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the A6-7310
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. For instance, the A6-7310 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
