A6-7310 vs Celeron J4005 benchmarks

According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the A6-7310 is faster than the Celeron J4005. Despite this, the Celeron J4005 has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.

When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the A6-7310 has significantly more cores with 4 cores compared to the Celeron J4005 that has 2 cores. It also has more threads than the Celeron J4005. In terms of clock speed, the A6-7310 and Celeron J4005 are identical in this regard. The Celeron J4005 outputs less heat than A6-7310 thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.

Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the A6-7310 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
