A6-3620 vs Pentium G3220T comparison

Our benchmark analysis concludes that the A6-3620 performs better than the Pentium G3220T. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Pentium G3220T in all gaming tests too.

When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the A6-3620 has significantly more cores with 4 cores compared to the Pentium G3220T that has 2 cores. It also has more threads than the Pentium G3220T. The Pentium G3220T outputs less heat than A6-3620 thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.

Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the A6-3620 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
