A10-9600P vs Pentium G3220T benchmarks
In our benchmarks, the Pentium G3220T beats the A10-9600P in overall performance. Despite this, the A10-9600P has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the A10-9600P has significantly more cores with 4 cores compared to the Pentium G3220T that has 2 cores. It also has more threads than the Pentium G3220T. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the Pentium G3220T has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the A10-9600P. A A10-9600P CPU outputs less heat than a Pentium G3220T CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the A10-9600P has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
