A10-7890K vs A8-6500 specs and performance

According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the A10-7890K is faster than the A8-6500. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the A8-6500 in all gaming tests too.

Our spec comparison shows that they have an identical amount of cores and the same number of threads. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the A10-7890K has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the A8-6500. Also, the A10-7890K has a slightly higher turbo speed. The A8-6500 outputs less heat than A10-7890K thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The data shows that both these CPUs have same sized L2 caches

Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the A10-7890K has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
