A10-6800K vs Xeon E5-1603 benchmarks
In our benchmarks, the Xeon E5-1603 beats the A10-6800K in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the A10-6800K in all gaming tests too.
In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the Xeon E5-1603 has significantly more cores than the A10-6800K. Indeed, the Xeon E5-1603 has 4 cores compared to 2 cores found in the A10-6800K. But they both have the same number of threads. A A10-6800K CPU outputs less heat than a Xeon E5-1603 CPU because of its slightly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. Indeed, the A10-6800K has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
