A10-6700 vs A10-7890K benchmarks

In our benchmarks, the A10-6700 beats the A10-7890K in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the A10-7890K in all gaming tests too.

With info from our database, we find that the A10-6700 has significantly more cores with 4 cores whereas the A10-7890K has 2 cores. But they both have the same number of threads. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the A10-7890K has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the A10-6700. Furthermore, both these CPUs have identical turbo speeds. A A10-6700 CPU outputs less heat than a A10-7890K CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, both these CPUs have the same amount of L2 cache

Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the A10-6700 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
